You are invited to the CJC Alumni Dinner on Saturday, 10 January 2009, in the CJC school hall.
Enjoy a gourmet banquet dinner in nostalgia of the old school hall. Tour the school grounds and catch up with old friends and teachers alike.
Featuring entertainment from college alumni and a photo montage featuring pictures contributed by alumni, all set to the retro beats of the 80s and 90s, this promises to be a truly unforgettable event.

FAQ

Q: Is this a mega fundraising event?
A: NO, it is not a fundraising effort! It is a FUN-raising event instead.. it’s more like a social gathering for our alumni. There will NOT be any school building fund-raising activity…Brother Paul Rogers, the current principal said so.

Q: How much is it?
A: It’s going be $85 per person. We encourage you to form a table of 10 pax, send a $850 cheque to CJC and confirm the booking for a table.

Q: $85 per person for dinner is very expensive! Anything cheaper?
A: It may seem a bit expensive, but be rest assured that all your hard earned money will go towards filling your stomach and ensuring that you have a most memorable evening! You can expect a gourmet spread prepared by the staff of ‘Friends Catering’ (they have an outlets at Jelita and Serangoon Gardens!).

Q: What’s for dinner?
A: Here’s a sample of the menu!
1. Fresh seafood cocktail served with tomato salsa
2. Smoked salmon roses topped with capers
3. Roasted Australian striploin served with pommery mustard
4. Mushroom spaghetti aglio olio
5. Friends chocolate brownie
6. and many more!

Q: Okay, my friends and I wanna form a table. So how do we go about doing it?
A: Follow these steps:
1. Find a table I/C for your group.
2. Inform Denise (denise_pang@hotmail.com) or Donna (dcarmen@tycoelectronics.com) about your table.
3. Prepare a cheque of S$850 payable to “Catholic Junior College”
4. Write your name, contact no, year (useful info to have) on the reverse of cheque and post the cheque to Catholic Junior College, 129 Whitley Road (297822) Attn: Lum Poh Ling

Q: I have lost contact with my friends in CJC and I really want to go back for the reunion. I can’t form a table…. so what do I do?
A: Here’s what you should do:
1. Inform Denise or Donna. Tell them your graduating year, your ECA, etc. They may be able to slot you into your group.
2. Send your cheque of S$85 per person by mail or by person to CJC.
3. Meanwhile, try your best to look for your friends on FaceBook etc.

Q: Can I take my spouse/partner/children along?
A: We do not encourage partners since this is a reunion dinner, it is likely that you would be busy catching up with old friends rather than accompany your partner.

Q: Where is the dinner going be held?
A: For nostalgia, for atmosphere, for old-times’ sake…. in the air-conditioned CJC School Hall!

Q: Dress code?
A: Smart casual.

Q: Are we just eating dinner?
A: No. There will be performances lined up by our own cohorts. We are also looking for talents if you know of anyone (from your batch) who might want to perform.

Q: Why is that I have never heard of this alumni dinner until now?
A: The organising committee was formed (by the school) in October to plan for this dinner in Jan 09! There are only 7 of us in this committee. Due to time constraint, we apologise if not everyone has got the message… What we did was to take advantage of the world’s greatest social network site, FACEBOOK! We’re reaching out to alumni through FB, in the hope that those on FB will help convey the message to non-FB users.

Q: Wow! Only 7 of you to carry out such a big task? How can I help?
A: Any help would be great. We need help in the following areas:
1. Submit your scanned photos of ‘your time in CJC’ to chenmunn@gmail.com
